At Murray McDavid, we understand the importance of maturation in the making of whisky. Using our many years of experience and the best oak casks from around the world, we create diverse styles of inspired Scotch whisky.
Our Whisky Creations Team travel the world in search of good wood. We select sherry casks from the bodegas of Spain, fortified wine casks from Madeira, port pipes from Portugal and a wide selection of wine barriques from Europe’s finest vineyards. We also seek out American oak barrels from bourbon makers in the United States and rum casks from distilleries in the Caribbean. We have exclusive wood supply agreements with our cask suppliers, such as the Koval Distillery in Chicago and the Murça wine cooperative in Portugal.

Our Mystery Malts invite the curious whisky drinker to use only their sense of taste and smell to unravel the secrets presented in the glass. Always a single malt, from an undisclosed distillery, a seasoned whisky drinker may be able to guess the origins of
our secret spirits. Often chosen to celebrate one of the lesser-known distilleries in Scotland, the spirit from these hidden gems is matured in our own carefully selected casks, overseen by our highly experienced Whisky Creations Team.
