Our Collector Cask Series is true cask to bottle. No water, additives, coloring or special filtering was used to achieve its rich coloring and flavors. 100% of the rum enters a single barrel and remains that way until bottled, during which time only the Angels were allowed a hand in its crafting.
Solera is one of the most common aging systems used for rums, however it misrepresents the true age of the rum in a bottle.
Essentially the age statement on a solera aged rum is the age of the oldest rum used, yet rums within the blend can be much younger than the age statement on the bottle.
