Introducing Bimber Single Malt Whisky
There’s a new distillery in London that’s making waves in the whisky industry and it’s coming to America with Glass Revolution this spring. Bimber Distillery, located in West London, produces handcrafted world-class single malt whisky. Three of their ‘Country Collection” single cask releases have been exclusively produced for the United States and will soon be available in select markets.
About Bimber Distillery
Bimber Distillery is a brand-new distillery located in London with a mission to produce high-quality single malt whisky with character, using traditional methods that are rarely seen today. The distillers are going back to the basics and using unique and interesting techniques to produce exceptional spirits. Starting with barley that is 100% sourced from an English single farm, Bimber uses the traditional methods of floor malting, hand-mashing, and slow fermentation in wooden washbacks to begin their distillation process.
They then use direct fire to heat small copper pot stills and the spirit is matured in hand-selected wooden casks before being bottled onsite in London. This old-fashioned system is one that is done with passion and care with the goal of producing delicious single malt whiskies.
USA Editions
Bimber’s first casks were released in September of 2019 with only 1,000 hand numbered bottles. Since then, they’ve been bottling and producing more whiskies which will be sold in select markets across the world. Now, in 2021, Bimber is ready to release three unique spirits for exclusive sale in the United States.
1. Bimber USA Edition – Ex-bourbon Cask #154 59.1% abv: this limited-edition whisky was matured in a single American oak ex-bourbon cask which delivers sweet and precise fruity flavors.
2. Bimber USA Edition – Virgin American Oak Cask #95 58.6% abv: this whisky was matured in a single American virgin oak cast and features oak-forward flavors which are tempered by natural creaminess and bold spice.
3. Bimber USA Edition – Sherry Cask #45 58.9% abv: the final edition coming to the United States is a delightfully sweet and rich single malt whisky which has been fully matured in a sherry cask. The flavor of this spirit is bright and fresh as it highlights balanced fruit forward flavors and rich notes derived directly from the sherry cask maturation.
Each of these editions highlight the exceptional casks which were selected to showcase the versatility of their spirit. Long, open-topped fermentation and direct fire stills married with hand-selected casks gives each of these whiskies a unique personality that whisky enthusiasts are sure to love.
