Palate: Powerful combination of citrus, purple fruit and sweet liqueur. Rich and pure. Hints of. Cointreau and white peppers.

Finish: Sweet mocha bitters. Some fruit and slightly sweet syrupy. Creamy and fairly long.

CASK MATURATION: Claxton’s has an ever-growing cask inventory that includes a wide variety of young and mature spirits. Fresh oak casks have been specifically sourced and selected for maturation from global sources in various sizes and finishes.

WOOD SELECTION: Time and great care is taken in visiting Bodegas across Spain to ensure the right casks are used. Varying levels of char and spirit are required in the casks selected and used.

In 2019, one hundred years after the Landale family bought Dalswinton Estate, Claxton’s moved into Sandbed House on the banks of the River Nith and the Dalswinton Bond was born. Claxton’s Dalswinton Bond not only focuses on bottling whiskies and other spirits but also refining and enhancing whisky through cask maturation. Dalswinton Bond is an independent bonded cask warehouse in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland, that maintains the highest industry whisky cask storage standards. With steel racked and traditional dunnage storage throughout the site, each cask warehouse is individually secured with 360 degree, 24 hour CCTV coverage and fire and intruder alarms providing maximum security and protection for your casks.

An extensive cask inventory, combined with versatile maturation warehouses, enables Claxtons to create a consistent supply of quality spirit. The development of this program guarantees longevity and the highest quality scotch whisky. All of their whisky is natural color, non-chill filtered, and taken from a single cask, meaning the whisky produced is stand-alone with a truly individual profile. Each cask has a story, and their team is dedicated to telling it through individual bottlings. Every release is only bottled when the balance between cask influence and spirit is perfect, no matter how long this may take.
