This Blackadder Cask Selection brings you some of the world's finest rums. Each cask is sought out for its fine character and flavour. As with Blackadder Scotch whiskies, our rums are all strictly limited-edition releases. They are never chill filtered, nor do we add any artificial colour. To prove that we do not filter our Raw Cask whiskies, you will discover some of the cask sediment in every bottle – this is our assurance of its completely natural and ‘raw’ state. It is the King of Single Casks!
Diamond Distillery (DDL) established in 1670; sits on the East Bank of the Demerara River near Georgetown, Guyana. There are 9 different stills with one being the most famous Coffey still in the world which is the EHP Wooden Still. Each still is different giving them the ability to create many different styles of Rum.

DISTILLERY STORY
Blackadder’s philosophy is very simple – they believe that the Cask is King. Sixty to seventy percent of the flavours in a whisky are taken up slowly from the cask as the spirit lies maturing in the warehouse. The action of changing temperature draws the spirit in and out of the cask. Every cask is unique, with its own fingerprint. This is why they bottle most of their whiskies from single casks. They don’t believe in chilling or otherwise heavily filtering their whiskies, and they never, repeat never, add caramel colouring and flavouring to their spirits. They have always believed the personalities of their whiskies are colourful enough.
