Mahón Gin scored a PERFECT 100 POINTS from the 2022 Pr%f Awards sponsored by Food + Beverage Magazine. A London Dry style gin imported from Spain with a unique silky finish that mixes well in cocktails since the smoothness of the gin allows the cocktail to shine.
The distillate used is GRAPE not grain, which makes this gin truly gluten-free, from start to finish. From Penedes, using Xarel-lo and Parellada grapes the same as Cava. The Juniper berries are sea-salt air aged for up to 4 years in open crates at the distillery, thus concentrating the flavors and delivering a smooth gin, without bitterness. Each batch is crafted exclusively for the USA. Two of the wood-fired Alembic stills are 70+ years old, another is 125+ years old and the last one is 270 years old. The 270 year old still is 700 liters.

Distillery Notes
How to pronounce the distillery name Xoriguer: “sho-ri-gair”
Mahón Gin is distilled in the port town of Mahón on the Spanish Balearic island of Menorca - a 1 hour flight off the coast of Barcelona. The Distillery is the unpretentious white building located on the seawall.
The windmill on the label has belonged to the owners, the Pons family since the 18th century. Menorca’s stunning and pristine coastline is designated a UNESCO Biosphere reserve.
In the early 1700's, the British Navy was stationed in the deep water port found in Mahón. The sailors wanted their native spirit; gin and so began the long tradition of distilling London Dry style gin on the island of Menorca. Today, Mahón Gin's legacy and authenticity continues as the only remaining gin DO in the world. [Denominación de Origen (DO) Mahón-Menorca ].
