Spirits can be awarded medals ranging from bronze, silver, and gold to double gold and platinum. In 2022, Amrut Two Indies received double gold, an award reserved only for spirits that receive a gold medal rating by all members of the judging panel. New York International Spirits Competition – Gold
The New York International Spirits Competition (NYISC) is an annual judging of spirits that occurs each spring in New York City. What makes this competition unique is that it is one of the few competitions that rely entirely on judges drawn exclusively from the beverage trade. In 2022, Two Indies was awarded the gold medal in this competition.
Chilled 100 Spirits Awards – 93 Points
The Chilled 100 is a reputable group of hundreds of working bartenders who use the Chilled 100 Spirits Awards as an honest, quality-ranking tool. The Chilled 100 Seal of Approval, the Chilled100-Point System, and Chilled Emblems provide information to other bartenders about a spirit's best uses. In 2022, Amrut Two Indies received an impressive 93 points.
International Spirits Competition (SIP Awards) – Gold
According to the SIP Awards website, they are the only internationally recognized consumer judging spirits competition. Since they cater to the opinions and palates of the discerning public, they represent a unique spirit judging competition without any industry bias. In 2022 Amrut Two Indies was awarded the gold medal in this competition.
John Barleycorn Awards – Gold
Last, but certainly not least, the fifth award Amrut Two Indies rum won this year was the gold medal at the 2022 John Barleycorn Awards. The John Barleycorn Society curated an elite panel of spirits journalists to judge an innovative blind tasting competition. These familiar names are esteemed spirits media professionals whose opinions help shape consumer perception and ultimately, buying decisions.
